Architect

Job Description

Architect - £38,000-£42,000

Oxfordshire

A well-established Oxfordshire architecture practice is hiring an Architect to join its team. A varied portfolio with a strong healthcare focus, a flat studio structure where you'll be trusted to run your own work, and a culture built around getting the everyday detail right rather than chasing the marquee work.

You'll work on healthcare refurbishment projects, often in conservation areas and on listed buildings. The studio isn't chasing landmark statements. The work is about quietly well-resolved architecture that supports the people using it.

Technical, functional, and built around comfort, accessibility, and overall user experience.

The Architect role, day to day:

  • Working live healthcare projects from feasibility through to delivery, primarily on refurbishment briefs.
  • Engaging with conservation officers, listed building consents, and the considerations that come with sensitive sites.
  • Producing detailed design and technical packages, with strong attention to functionality and user experience.
  • Coordinating with clients, contractors and consultants.
  • Working in Revit and AutoCAD across multiple project stages.

What we're looking for in this Architect:

  • ARB registered, RIBA Part 3 qualified.
  • Some post-qualification experience, with confidence across the project lifecycle.
  • A genuine interest in healthcare or technically demanding work that needs to perform day in, day out.
  • Heritage and conservation experience is a strong plus.
  • Modular construction experience is also valued.
  • Strong Revit and AutoCAD skills.
  • A clear communicator, comfortable working with technical clients and end users.

Why this Architect role in Oxfordshire is worth a look:

  • Meaningful work that genuinely impacts how patients, staff and visitors experience healthcare environments.
  • A flat practice structure with no excessive tiers or corporate hierarchy.
  • A workload that's technically interesting and consistently varied within the sector.
  • A well-recognised practice with strong awards behind it.
  • Office with easy reach from Oxford, Banbury, Aylesbury and the wider county.
